Cloud365 Darwin Datacentre 1 is located at Secure Data Centre (SDC) in Darwin, Northern Territory — the longest-running location in the Cloud365 portfolio, with infrastructure first deployed here in 2007. SDC is a purpose-built, locally-owned and operated data centre committed to excellence in Northern Territory infrastructure.
Darwin DC1 is a hardened, bunker-grade facility — 350 square metres of purpose-built data hall space, with 200mm solid reinforced walls and ceilings and 40mm metal clad cool-room panelling throughout interior data halls and plant rooms. The facility has its own 500kVA purpose-built substation and 2× 550kVA backup power generators with three days of onsite fuel.
Cloud365 operates infrastructure at Darwin DC1 to serve local, national and international clients with requirements specific to the Northern Territory — government agencies, mining and resources operations, and businesses requiring Australian data centre options beyond the eastern seaboard.
"In 2007 we deployed our first infrastructure project in the Northern Territory. On visiting SDC we were impressed with the level of detail and commitment to excellence from the local building and facilities owners. There was no other location in Darwin like Secure Data Centre, and certainly no other local support like that provided from SDC management and staff. Building facilities, plant, data halls, electrical works are without doubt the best in the Territory — at similar levels to our Sydney and Melbourne facilities."
