The Cloud365 Story

Cloud365 was founded by Darren Moss in 2011, seeking Australian based cloud services that were truly business grade with reliable and local technical support.

Our focus is local — creating cost-effective tailored solutions for Australian businesses that deliver on outcomes, backed by Expert Local Support.

Australia has plenty of choice via overseas cloud hosting providers, many claiming to be the biggest, some even boasting preferential pricing which places new clients ahead of existing customers. The reality for many businesses is finding and ordering services wastes a ridiculous amount of time and energy, whilst services are crafted more for provider convenience or sales funnel sign-up processes, rather than customer requirements.

In many cases, so-called preferential pricing is still excessive — often more than double our monthly charges — or comes with conditions such as an introductory period, limited availability or long-term contracts.

What about right-sized solutions? These are often reduced-performance virtualised servers that attempt to shoe-horn customer systems into a contained service offering, frequently leading to performance constraints followed by additional upgrade costs.

We often see these scenarios as a result of consultants who recommend hosting and services, sometimes with a referral fee, financial interest or relationship with the provider to assist them in a preferred outcome. Australian businesses are then locked into high-value, increasing-price contracts — charged in US Dollars — instead of creating a cost-effective solution that actually matches their needs.

Many of our customers have migrated from overseas-based providers after their services were interrupted during Australian business hours or monthly costs kept increasing in US dollars whilst support was almost non-existent.

We've migrated many customers at less than half the cost of their previous provider. With the cost savings, our customers have been able to deploy a secondary site for backup, failover or Disaster Recovery — still at less cost than their previous provider.

All our customers have a dedicated contact person to speak with at any time. We're responsive, provide meaningful SLAs and refund if we make a mistake.

About Our Team

We're a team of technology professionals from Australia with a team across multiple locations providing design, support and administration services for customers from Australia to the United States, Asia and Europe.

Our General Manager and lead architect is Darren Moss, with more than 20 years technology experience working with small business, corporate and government technology service providers. Darren heads up our expert team delivering services and support for Australian businesses of all sizes from startups to government departments.
